RITA SHAH RECEIVES HIGHLY ACCLAIMED GLOBAL AWARD IN USA
Rita Shah has been presented with the 2012 Global Enterprising Women of the Year Award, during their 10th anniversary of the gala awards celebration held last night at the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale in Florida, USA.
Enterprising Women of the Year Awards are an annual tribute to top dynamic women entrepreneurs from around the globe. This year Rita is one of only five European women business owners to have this prestigious award bestowed upon them.
“I am truly honored and blessed to have been recognized the whole way from Ireland with this truly outstanding award” said Rita Shah. “This has been a wonderful experience and has given me the opportunity to meet and share ideas and inspiration with such an amazing and diverse worldwide group of female entrepreneurs.”

Shabra raises €40,000 to Support Irish Hearts
Rita Shah & Oliver Brady co-founders of the Shabra Charity Foundation held their 4th annual Cheltenham Preview & Race Night is on Tuesday, 6th March 2012 at The Glencarn Hotel Castleblayney Co. Monaghan.
The size of the crowd and distance people travelled is a testimony to the success of this event for the Shabra Charity raising €40,000 which was donated on the night to the following worthy causes:
- Prof. Eoin O’Malley, Cardiac Surgery Research, Mater Hospital €20,000
- Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), Tallaght Hospital €20,000

Minister O’Keeffe announces 35 jobs as plastic bottle recycling firm expands
Shabra opens state-of-the-art €3.5m plastic bottle sorting plant in Monaghan. The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, Batt O’Keeffe TD, today [Thursday] announced 35 new jobs in a plastic bottle recycling firm. Minister O’Keeffe announced the jobs as he officially opened a new €3.5 million plastic bottle sorting plant in the Shabra Group in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan.

The state-of-the-art extension, supported by the Enterprise Ireland Growth Fund, is the only one of its kind here and among the best in Europe.
Irish-owned Shabra, which employs 49 workers, collects, reprocesses and recycles waste plastic bottles and film.
